What we are
RoomingFields is a booking platform for the Portuguese countryside. We list cabins, farm stays, eco retreats and country villas that we have visited in person — a short, honest collection rather than an endless catalogue. You book directly with the owner who keeps the place.
How we choose places
Every property is visited before it joins us. We look for comfort and honesty — good beds, warm heating, a working kitchen — but also character and a real connection to the land around it. We turn down far more places than we list.

Working with owners
We partner with families and small holdings, not chains. Owners set their own prices and house rules; we handle enquiries and guidance, and take a transparent commission only when a stay actually happens.
Our approach to the environment
We favour stays that tread lightly: solar power, wood heat from managed forest, water reuse and local materials. We are honest about what "eco" means for each place, and would rather under-promise than greenwash.
